The Friends of 72 are a small group who, on behalf of the Trolleybus Museum at Sandtoft raised funds to get Maidstone 72 restored. As part of the fundraising effort, twice-yearly meetings for enthusiasts were started in Maidstone and they have been so popular and well attended that it was decided to continue with them under the Friends banner.

Meetings are held at St. Andrew's Church Hall, Tonbridge Road, Barming Heath, Maidstone. Meetings commence at 7.30 pm (doors open from 7.00 pm). The venue is 2 minutes walk on the Barming side from the site of the old Maidstone Corporation trolleybus depot. BTS members are cordially invited to attend.
